Over 500 PAL children, ages eight and nine, unite to celebrate and learn about the cultures of the Caribbean Islands with a colorful parade, interactive exhibits, Knowledge Bowl competition, and dance and musical performances.
During the summer, youngsters from 15 PAL centers throughout the five boroughs have studied the cultures and lifestyles of their assigned Caribbean Island.
Join PAL youngsters for exhibits, performances and a lesson on the culture of our Caribbean neighbors!
Time
- 10:30 am - Kick-off parade with hundreds of children in costumes with homemade banners from PAL centers throughout New York City.
- 11:00 am - 1:00 pm - Cultural Day Fun! Interactive Exhibits, Knowledge Bowl Competition
- 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm - Lunch
- 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Dance and Musical Performances
