EVENT: POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE YOUNGSTERS
CELEBRATE “THE CARIBBEAN” ON CULTURAL DAY
Over 1000 PAL children, ages eight and nine, unite to celebrate and learn about the cultures of Native American nations throughout the United States with a colorful parade, interactive exhibits, Knowledge Bowl competition and interactive performances.
During the summer, youngsters from 14 PAL centers throughout the five boroughs have studied the cultures and lifestyles of their assigned tribes, as well as the unique contributions that they made to our country. Tribes featured include: Apache, Blackfoot, Cherokee, Cheyenne, Cree, Inuit, Iroquois, Mohegan, Shawnee, Nez Perce, Ojibwe, Pueblo, Seminole and Shoshone.
Join PAL youngsters for exhibits, performances and a lesson on the history, key facts and figures of the different tribes that make up our country!

Police Athletic League summer programs provide children with safe and organized recreation in neighborhoods with few resources. Play Streets give children the opportunity to play sports and games, participate in arts and crafts, and enjoy cultural activities.
