PAL remains committed to continuing successful traditions like PAL PLAYSTREETS and the Junior Police Club, but we know how important it is to find new and engaging ways to educate and inspire New York City’s kids.
One of the most exciting new programs we offer is the PAL Radio Rookies Program. In partnership with WNYC, PAL middle schoolers in all five boroughs created their own unique podcast. The program gives kids a special opportunity to use professional recording equipment, channel their creativity and passion, and share their points of view in these fun and entertaining radio broadcasts.
Thanks to the support of the Hive NYC Learning Network, a city-wide learning laboratory, and the generosity of the Hive Digital Media Learning Fund of The New York Community Trust, we are able to develop innovative programs like this one to give kids the chance to discover new interests and develop essential skills.
Treat yourself, and take a listen to a PAL kid’s podcast. It’s yet another example of how talented our kids are, and how proud we are to offer them new, exciting experiences.
