Honorees:

Hon. Louis J. Freeh is founder and Chairman of Freeh Group International Solutions, LLC, and founder and partner of Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan, LLP. Previously he was partner and immediate past chair of the Executive Committee of Pepper Hamilton LLP. Early in his career, Mr. Freeh joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent and served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps. In 1981, Mr. Freeh joined the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York as an Assistant United States Attorney, later serving as Associate and Deputy United States Attorney.  In 1991, Mr. Freeh was appointed by President George H.W. Bush as a United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of New York.  In 1993, President William J. Clinton appointed Judge Freeh as the Fifth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  Mr. Freeh is an advisor to Millennium Partners, L.P.,and a board member of the Max Planck Florida Institute and counsel to the US Naval Academy Foundation.

 

Anne C. Vladeck, a partner at Vladeck, Raskin & Clark, P.C., concentrates on employment matters,

including discrimination, sexual harassment, and defamation, union-side labor law, and litigation. Ms.

Vladeck received, among other awards, a Woman of Power and Influence Award by NOW-NYC in 2005

and received a Women of Distinction Award by the Labor and Employment Relations Association – New

York City Chapter in 2006. Ms. Vladeck has tried numerous employment cases, including a sexual

harassment and retaliation case, Anucha Browne Sanders v. Madison Square Garden, et al.  For the

second time in 2018, she was named one of the Super Lawyers "Top 10" in New York.  For more than ten

years, named one of top 50 Women Lawyers and the top 100 Lawyers in New York by New York Super

Lawyers and one of New York Magazine's "Best Lawyers."

Letitia “Tish” James is the 67th Attorney General for the State of New York. She is the first woman of color to hold both statewide and citywide office in New York and the first woman to be elected Attorney General.  In 2013, Ms. James was elected Public Advocate for the City of New York. As Public Advocate, she served as a watchdog over New York City government agencies and as an advocate for the City’s most vulnerable communities. She transformed the Public Advocate’s office to be a formidable engine for change.  Prior to serving as Public Advocate, Tish James represented the 35th Council District in Brooklyn in the New York City Council for ten years.  Before her election to the City Council, Tish James served as head of the Brooklyn Regional Office of the New York State Attorney General’s Office.  Tish James began her career as a public defender at the Legal Aid Society.
