Sports and Recreation Department

The Police Athletic League continues its tradition of providing organized sports and recreation experiences for the youth of New York City, who otherwise would not be able to afford private sports leagues or play on a school team. The Sports and Recreation Department provides a model sports curriculum for all our centers, in addition to organizing and facilitating leagues, tournaments, and special events for over 13,000 youth annually. PAL’s sports and recreation programs keep young people engaged in positive youth development activities and reinforce the concepts of discipline, leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
